What is Detox?
The body actually cleans the toxins it takes in various ways every day, especially at night and in the early morning hours. However, with age, the body’s ability to clear metabolic wastes decreases. There are two main causes of toxin accumulation in the body. The first is exposure to unnatural environmental toxins in air, water and food, and the second is extreme fatigue, stress, anxiety and disorders in the nervous system. Normally, the lungs are responsible for expelling foreign substances from the air. The skin blocks toxins from the environment. The liver, intestines, lymphatic system and kidneys remove toxins from the circulatory system. However, in cases such as air pollution, smoking, unhealthy eating habits, the body may not work enough. In this period, light exercises and detox programs using only vegetable juices and light meals are applied.
