What is Stem Cell?

Stem cells have an extraordinary ability to renew themselves.
What is Stem Cell?
They can transform into different cell types in the body. Stem cells can be “pluripotent” stem cells, that is, they can develop into any cell (embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells) and non-embryonic or somatic stem cells (often referred to as “adult” stem cells) with certain limitations. Pluripotent stem cells can differentiate into all cells of the adult body. Adult stem cells are found in a tissue or organ and can differentiate to give specific cell types of that tissue or organ.
Unlike muscle cells, blood cells, or nerve cells that do not normally reproduce, stem cells can reproduce many times over.
